FULLERTON, Calif. — Latrell Wrightsell Jr. poured in 19 points and 10 rebounds as Cal State Fullerton men's basketball defeated CSUN 64-52 Saturday evening at Titan Gym.
Wrightsell Jr.'s double-double was the first of his career, as he also contributed two steals and an assist in the game. Jalen Harris had 16 points and three rebounds for Fullerton while Vincent Lee posted eight points and four boards. The win improves the Titans' record to 7-7 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
The Titans maintained control throughout the evening, as they jumped out to an 11-0 nothing lead to start the game behind a Lee dunk and layups from Harris and Max Jones. Harris, who had eight points in the first half, drilled a three-pointer before Wrightsell Jr. added another to put the Titans up 23-17. Wrightsell Jr. hit another jumper as Fullerton took a 25-17 lead into the locker room.
Wrightsell Jr. drilled back-to-back three-pointers to give the Titans a ten-point lead, 37-27, just over four minutes into the second half.

Two more treys from Garrison Wade and Jones then extended Fullerton's lead to 13, 50-37. The Matadors clawed back to within five, 50-45, with 4:57 left but that's as close as they would get to the Titans. Harris scored four straight and Wrightsell Jr. nailed a step-back triple, before a Tory San Antonio three and two-hand Jones dunk sealed the 64-52 win for the Titans.

The Titans hit the road next Thursday, January 5th, to take on UC Riverside at SRC Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
