IRVINE, Calif. — Latrell Wrightsell Jr. has been named The Big West Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Wrightsell Jr. scored a career-high 27 points in the Titans' 94-91 double-overtime road win over Pacific last Friday, shooting 11-of-21 from the floor and knocking down a career-high four three-pointers. The junior guard also posted a career-high-tying eight rebounds to go with three assists and a pair of steals in 43 minutes of action versus the Tigers.
Through four games this season, Wrightsell Jr. is averaging a team-best 4.5 assists per contest, good for fifth in The Big West. He also ranks seventh in the conference in scoring with 14.3 points per game to go with 4.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals per contest on the year.
The Titans return to Titan Gym to face Westcliff tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22nd at 7:00 p.m. PT, before traveling to North Dakota to take on Utah Tech and the North Dakota Fighting Hawks this weekend.
