Jones Joins Men's Basketball Program

FULLERTON, Calif. – Head Coach Dedrique Taylor and the Men's Basketball program have announced the signing of Max Jones for the 2022-23 season.

"Max is super skilled and can score at all three levels, he has size and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways," Taylor said. "I'm excited to watch his game grow and develop as his maturity and experience improves our culture both on and off the court."

Jones comes to Cal State Fullerton after spending two years at the University of Tampa where he averaged a team-high 22.3 points per game. Jones comes in with three years of eligibility remaining due to the Covid season.

Jones prepped at Clearwater High School in Florida where he was a three-year letterwinner. In high school, Jones was named a PCAC All-Star, PCAC Player of the Year, Florida State All-Star and High School Athlete of the Year while leading his team to two district championships.
