Titans Sweep CSUN, 81-73

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Fullerton Men's Basketball swept the season series over CSUN 81-73 on Saturday night in Northridge.

E.J. Anosike led the way offensively with his seventh double--double of the season. He scored 24 points and added 11 rebounds in the win. Jalen Harris added 16 points, while Tray Maddox Jr. added 10 points off the bench.

The Titans opened up by going down low to Anosike, who scored his 1,500th career point on Saturday night by going to work down low.

Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia came off the bench and made an instant impact, slamming home a putback dunk to give the Titans a spark.

The Titans used a 11-0 run to take a 29-18 lead with seven minutes left in the first half. Wrightsell hit a three and Harris scored two buckets as part of that run.

CSUN would get the deficit to four with three minutes left in the half before the Titans would take a six point lead into the break, up 42-36. Anosike scored 11 points in the first half, a game high.

Fullerton would open the second half on a 9-3 run to take a 51-39 with just over 16 minutes left in the game.

The Titans would use a 10-0 run to take a 65-50 lead, capped off by a Tory San Antonio triple.

Tray Maddox Jr. would hit a corner three for the Titans to take a 68-54 lead with 7:24 left in the game. 

The Matadors would close the gap to eight points, 75-67 before Anosike hit an and-one opportunity down low to put the lead back to double digits, 77-67. 

The Titans would control the final few minutes and ran out with the win, 81-73.

Up Next: The Titans return home to take on UC Irvine on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
