FULLERTON, Calif. – Fullerton Men's Basketball were back in the win column with a 61-50 win on Thursday night at the Titan Gym.

E.J. Anosike posted his fifth double-double of the season, with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Jalen Harris also chipped in with 17 points off the bench.

The Titans came out slowly out of the gates in the first half, however they were still driving to the rim and getting to the foul line. Anosike made five of six foul shots in the first half.

Defense also helped the Titans get back into the game. With 5:10 left in the first half, Tray Maddox Jr. stole the ball, drove up court, dished it to Damari Milstead, who then laid it off for Anosike for the slam.

Fullerton also held Cal Poly to 37% from the field in the first half, keeping themselves within striking distance at the half, down seven 26-19.

The Titans continued the strong defense out of the break, holding the Mustangs to 24 points total in the second half on 36% shooting from the field.

Both teams would trade buckets for the majority of the second half. The the Titans defense came up big. With six minutes left in the game, the Titans earned steals on back-to-back possessions to take a six point lead.

Anosike would then add the cherry on top with just over three minutes remaining in the game, when he nailed a jumper as time was expiring on the shot clock to give the Titans a nine point lead.

The Mustangs would result to fouling the Titans with 1:30 left in the game, and the Titans sank their free throws, 23 in total on the night, running out 61-50 winners.
