FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton men's basketball could not complete the sweep of Hawai'i on Saturday night as the Rainbow Warriors won 76-53. It was the fewest points the Titans have scored in a game this season. Junior guard Tray Maddox Jr. led the team in scoring with 12 and was the only Titan to score in double figures.

It was a back-and-forth first half but Hawai'i (4-4 overall, 2-4 Big West) led 35-28 at the half over the Titans (4-5 overall, 3-5 Big West) and it would not relinquish that lead. Fullerton scored the opening basket to cut the lead to 35-30 at 19:40. Hawai'i then went on a 12-1 run and led 47-31 at the 12:38 mark. The deficit did not dip below 10 the rest of the way.

The 'Bows dominated the glass 48-21 which led to 20 second-chance points while the Titans had just one. Fullerton shot 42.2% (19-45) from the field, just 21.1% (4-19) from three and 57.9% (11-19) at the line. UH shot 32-68 (47.1%) overall, 8-23 (34.8%) from three and 4-9 (44.4%) at the stripe. Four of the five Hawai'i starters scored 10+, led by Junior Madut with 14 points.

Next up, the Titans play at CSU Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday. Friday's game will tip at 8 p.m. PT and be broadcast live on ESPNU.
