HONOLULU - Cal State Fullerton men's basketball fell 70-59 at Hawai'i on Thursday night in the Stan Sheriff Center. Junior forward Johnny Wang scored a game-high 21 points to lead Fullerton.

The Titans (10-18, 5-8 Big West) trailed 38-36 to the Rainbow Warriors (16-11, 7-6 Big West) at halftime. However, the Hawai'i pushed that lead up to 46-36 at the 16:07 mark of the second half. From that point, the closest the Titans would get the rest of the way was six points.

The Titans shot the ball well from the floor (20-41, 49%) but turned the ball over 22 times, 14 of those in the first half, which led to 18 points for Hawai'i. Fullerton went 6-18 (33%) from distance and 13-22 (59%) at the free-throw line. Guard Drew Buggs led Hawai'i with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists. The Rainbow Warriors posted shooting numbers of 43% (22-51) from the field, 31% (4-13) from beyond the arc and 81% (22-27) at the charity stripe.

Wang scored a career-high 21 points on 7-9 shooting from the field and 6-6 at the line to lead the team in scoring. Wang also hauled in five rebounds. Senior guard Brandon Kamga scored 12 points (eight in the first half) and had three rebounds but struggled with turnovers and fouled out in 36 minutes. Senior forward Jackson Rowe had 13 points and three rebounds. Sophomore guard Wayne Arnold scored eight points off the bench, all in the first half.

Next up, the Titans head to CSUN on Saturday for a 7 p.m. PT tip.
