Riverside, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton men's basketball dropped the second conference game of the season on Saturday evening at UC Riverside by a score of 65-59. Senior forward Jackson Rowe posted his second double-double of the season with 14 points and 11 rebounds while senior guard Brandon Kamga led the Titans with 20 points.

The Titans (5-12, 0-2 BWC) trailed 15-14 at the 10:26 mark of the first but the Highlanders (12-6, 2-0 BWC) took a 37-22 lead into the locker room at halftime. UCR led 45-29 at the 14:48 mark of the second half but the Titans worked it back to just a four-point deficit with 7:58 minutes left in the game. But, four points was the closest the Titans would get as UCR kept them at bay the rest of the way and made free throws down the stretch to secure the win.

The Highlanders shot 51.7% (15-29) in the first half but just 19.2% (5-26) in the second half, for a total of 36.4% (20-55) for the game. However, they went 17-21 from the free-throw line in the second frame and 20-27 (74.1%) overall to make up for the lack of field goals. UCR was led by Dikymbe Martin with 13 points but six total Highlanders had 7+ points. Riverside also won the rebounding battle 40-32.

The Titans did not shoot particularly well either as they went 20-52 (38.5%) from the field but did shoot 6-13 (46.2%) from distance and 13-18 (72.2%) at the line.

Rowe scored 12 of the Titans' first 17 points and started off shooting 5-5 from the field but went just 1-7 the rest of the way. Kamga scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half as he shot 6-11 from the field and 6-7 from the stripe.

Next up, Fullerton hosts UC Irvine on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PT on ESPN3.
