Laramie, Wyo - Cal State Fullerton men's basketball picked up the first win of the season as they earned a 60-53 victory at Wyoming on Wednesday night to snap a nine-game losing skid against non-conference opponents on the road. The Titans were led by senior guard Austen Awosika with 18 points and sophomore guard Wayne Arnold with 20.

The Titans trailed by five at the half but rallied back and took the lead 53-42 at the at the 6:12 mark of the second half. However, the Cowboys battled back to make it 54-53 with 1:55 left. But that would be it for the Cowboys as the Titans shut them out the rest of the way to go with a jumper from Awosika, and free throws from Arnold and senior guard Brandon Kamga.

Arnold drained four three-point field goals in the first half and an additional two in the second half to reach his 20 points, a career-high total against a DI opponent. He hauled in a career-high nine rebounds to go with his career-high six threes.

Awosika stuffed the stat sheet as he talled 18 points (one off his career high), seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in 38 minutes.

Senior forward Davon Clare chipped in nine points, four rebounds and two blocks while Kamga had seven points, five rebounds, two steals and a block.

The Titans also made nine three-point field goals, the most they have made since knocking down 10 on Jan. 17, 2019 in a win at UC Riverside. Both teams shot 21-54 from the field but Wyoming made just six three-pointers and five free throws while CSF made nine of each.

Your first chance to see the Titans in action will be on Homecoming, Nov. 16, against Stanislaus State. The game is set to begin at 8 p.m. PT.
