FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball lost to CSU Bakersfield on Thursday night in the Riley Wallace Classic as part of the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). The Titans trailed by 18 at halftime but stormed back to tie the game in the second period but they could not sustain it and ultimately lost 66-58. James Suber of CSUB was named the game's MVP with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Titans (16-18, 10-6) led for just one minute and the game was tied for just one minute as the Roadrunners (17-15, 7-9) were in control throughout, particularly in the first half when the Titans shot just 15% (3-19) from the field. Fullerton started the second half on fire as senior guard Khalil Ahmad hit three three-point field goals early to put the Titans back in the game. Although the game was close throughout the second frame and even tied at one point, the Titans never took the lead.

Junior forward Jackson Rowe posted his seventh double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds to go with two blocks and one assist. He shot 6-10 from the floor and went 8-9 at the free-throw line. Ahmad also had 20 points while senior guard Kyle Allman, Jr. tallied 13. The trio combined for 53 of the team's 58 points.

The Titans end the season with a pair of first in program history. It is the first time the Titans have won 10+ games three straight years in Big West play and it is the first time the Titans have played in a postseason tournament three straight years.
