Conway, S.C. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball fell to UCF on Thursday afternoon in the first day of competition in the Myrtle Beach Invitational. The Titans struggled shooting the ball as they went just 34.5% from the field, 23.5% from distance and 55.6% at the charity stripe.

UCF led for 35 minutes of Thursday's game while the Titans led for just two minutes. The Knights had four student-athletes score in double-figures, led by B.J. Taylor who scored a game-high 14 points. Tacko Fall posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to go with three blocks.

"You have to tip your hat to Central Florida and Coach Dawkins and their staff and their program," head coach Dedrique Taylor said. "They willed themselves to the type of win they got tonight and they earned it. Our ballclub, we've got to get our head in the right space and come back and compete tomorrow. I thought their physicality bothered us. But that's something we've got to get used to and be prepared for. Particularly with our backcourt as everybody keys in on those guys, we've still got to fight for the types of possessions that we want and the types of shots we want and we didn't do that over the course of the game."

The Titans had three double-figure scorers, led by senior guard Khalil Ahmad with 15 points. Ahmad also had four rebounds and four steals. Senior guard Kyle Allman, Jr. tallied 11 points. Junior forward Jackson Rowe battled foul trouble and played just 11 minutes but he record 10 points (5-6 FGA), two rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Fullerton returns to action on Friday at 8 a.m. PT against Wake Forest.
