Following his senior season at Ayala High School, Austen Awosika was named to the CIF Southern Section 2015-16 Boys Basketball Division 2AA Team. He helped lead the Bulldogs to the Division 2 AA Championship, defeating Edison High School 63-49. Ayala also advanced to the Division III state title game, suffering a 60-51 loss to Manteca at Sleep Train Arena. Ayala finished the season 34-3 with a 9-1 record in the Palomares League. Awosika was also named first team all-league and to the Sun's All-Area Team.

Davon Clare was named the District 12 6A Most Valuable Player and also was named to the All Region II-6A team as Harker Heights High School finished second in 12-6A with a 10-2 district record and 26-7 overall mark. Furthermore, Clare helped Harker Heights advance to the area round of the 2015-16 UIL Boys State Basketball Championships.
