Titan Seniors to Graduate this Weekend

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton men's basketball seniors Chris Collins, Marquis Horne, James Johnson and Michael Williams are set to graduate this week as commencement ceremonies are scheduled to take place Saturday and Sunday.

 

"I am incredibly proud of this year's senior class," men's basketball head coach Dedrique Taylor said. "Chris, Marquis, James and Michael worked very hard in the classroom, and will leave Cal State Fullerton with their respective degrees. They set a positive example for future Titans by accomplishing their academic goals."

 

Collins, a communications/journalism major, is receiving his bachelor's degree after four years at Cal State Fullerton. After redshirting during the 2010-11 campaign, Collins appeared in 51 games averaging 2.4 points and 1.4 rebounds while totaling 41 assists.

 

Horne spent the last two years at Fullerton after transferring from Salt Lake Community College. An African American Studies major off the floor, on the basketball court Horne appeared in 30 games during the 2013-14 season and made 25 starts, averaging 8.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

 

Johnson attended Cal State Fullerton for the last two years after transferring from Central Wyoming College. The North Hills, Calif., native averaged 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game during his career and majored in Afro-Ethnic Studies.

 

Williams attended Cal State Fullerton for two years following a transfer from the University of San Francisco. The native of Van Nuys, Calif., redshirted the 2012-13 season and took the floor for the 2013-14 campaign. A major in African American Studies, Williams averaged 17.4 points per game and was named Big West Newcomer of the Year.
