FULLERTON, Calif. -- Cal State Fullerton senior Kwame Vaughn finished with a game-high 20 points and led three teammates in double figures Wednesday night, lifting the host Titans to an 86-47 exhibition victory over Cal State Los Angeles at Titan Gym.

Vaughn hit 7-of-11 from the floor to go with five rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes. Backcourt mate D.J. Seeley added 16 points and four assists while senior Sammy Yeager and junior Marquis Horne added 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Yeager swiped four steals.

Newcomers Deuce Johnson and Jared Brandon each grabbed seven rebounds to lead the team, but the Golden Eagles out rebounded Fullerton, 45-37, led by eight boards apiece from Trevor Wiseman and Jordan Richard, who also added five blocks to go with seven points. Marc Wilson came off the bench to score a team-high 16 points in 17 minutes for Cal State Los Angeles.

The Titans led wire-to-wire, building a double-digit lead just three minutes into the contest and never looking back. Fullerton, which shot just over 47 percent in the opening 20 minutes, led by as many as 26 points in the closing minute of the first half, using a 16-5 run over the final seven minutes to build a, 48-23, lead at the break.

The Golden Eagles came no closer than 23 points on three occasions early on in the second period as the Titans' lead grew to as many as 38 points with just under four minutes to play before settling on the final 39-point margin.

Fullerton shot just under 41 percent from the floor for the game, but just 9-for-29 (.310) from three-point range. Cal State Los Angeles hit on just 33 percent from the field and committed 33 turnovers, leading to 39 points for the host side.

With their only tune-up of the season now behind them, the Titans ready themselves for their regular-season opener on Monday (Nov. 12) at 8:30 p.m. in Palo Alto as Fullerton takes on Stanford for the first time in the history of the two programs at Maples Pavilion.
