TITANS `08: Was named a
Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball and a second-team
Freshman All-American by Rivals.com after posting a 5-5 record and
4.11 ERA his rookie season Made 14 starts in 16 appearances
and collected his first collegiate win in his first start on Feb.
26 against LMU, when he allowed just one hit over four innings of
work (staff day) while striking out four Picked up Big West
Player of the Week honors after going 2-0 in wins over UCLA and
Southern Miss on Mar. 5 and Mar. 9, respectively Dominated
the No. 3 UCLA Bruin lineup for 7 innings in his first weekend
start on Mar. 5, allowing a run on three hits while striking out a
season-best 10 batters Was a winner in three of this first
four career outings posting a 1.26 ERA over 14.1 innings, allowing
two runs on eight hits while striking out 20 His longest
outing of the year was an eight-inning effort on Apr. 19 at Pacific
where he did not allow an earned run while striking out 7 in the
Titans' 11-1 win His final 12 appearances came as a weekend
starter He struck out five-or-more batters on nine
occasions.
