SANTA ANA COLLEGE: Played the 2006 season for
former Titan and current Santa Ana College skipper Don Sneddon
Led or was in the top three of most major offensive
categories for the Dons hitting .395 (1st) with 12 home runs (1st)
and 58 RBI (1st) starting in all 50 of the team's contests
Led the Orange Empire Conference in hits (83), RBI (58), total
bases (140) and stolen bases (17) in 2006 Was a 2006 Orange
Empire All-Conference first-teamer Named to the California
Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) 2006
All-America First Team and won the CCCBCA Southern California Big
Stick Award.
CS NORTHRIDGE: Played in parts of two seasons
(2004-2005) for former Titan and current Cal State Northridge Head
Coach Steve Rousey. Hit .290 in 2004 with five home runs and
27 RBI in 40 games for the Matadors Granted a redshirt
season before transferring to Santa Ana College after playing in
just eight games in 2005 going 7-for-32 (.219) while driving in six
RBI.
VALLEY CHRISTIAN/CYPRESS HS: Earned three
letters at Valley Christian High School in Cerritos, Calif., his
freshman through junior years before transferring to Cypress High
School in Cypress, Calif., his senior year Played for Titan
Assistant Coach Rick Vanderhook's brother, Ryan, for three seasons
with the Crusaders Before transferring, he earned
second-team All-Olympic League honors in 2000 and a pair of
first-team selections in 2001 and 2002, when he also was named to
the All-CIF First Team He lettered at Cypress in 2003 for
Head Coach Dave Lewis and led the Centurions to their first Empire
League Championship Hit .382 in 2003 with 3 home runs and 31
RBI earning himself the team's and Empire League's MVP Award
Was also a three-year letterman and an All-League football
player.
