US NATIONAL TEAM `08: Was one of three Titans
(along with Christian Colon and Josh Fellhauer) to play a key role
for the 2008 Team USA squad that finished a perfect 24-0 en route
to the FISU World Championship gold medal in the Czech Republic
• Joined the team on July 11 in Europe as a replacement for
Tennessee's Kentrail Davis, who left the squad due to injury •
In just 13 games, he led the team with 4 home runs, and with 11
RBI, was just six short of the team leader • Hit a lead-off
home run in the sixth inning on July 13 to break a 1-1 tie as Team
USA went on to defeat Cuba for the first time in a Gold Medal Game
at the Haarlem Baseball Week Championships in The Netherlands

the team lead in home runs (9) and trailing Komatsu by one RBI (53)
at season's end • Finished 1st among all Big West players in
doubles (24), 2nd in walks (38), 4th in home runs (9), 7th in RBI
(53), 9th in slugging percentage (.533), and 10th in total bases
(114) • Had 20 multi-hit games, collecting a career-high three
hits in a game on four occasions • Posted 14 multi-RBI efforts
including three games with four RBI • Had a season-best
seven-game hitting streak from Mar. 21 to Apr. 1 when he went 9-for
28 (.321) with five doubles, 10 RBI and seven runs scored •

Northridge • Had seven sacrifice flies to lead the team and

TITANS `07: Sat out all of 2007 after
undergoing surgery to repair a knee that was injured in the fall
• Was granted a redshirt season. Was drafted in the 21st round
of the MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians.
TITANS `06: Started 2006 as one of the three
weekend starters, but pitched just six innings in four appearances
• Went 0-1 on the mound before becoming the primary right
fielder after his Feb. 19 loss to UC Irvine • Hit .277 in 56
games played, setting career highs in most offensive categories
• Posted a career-best, six-game hitting streak from April 14
to Apr. 23 going 6-for-17 (.353) • Had 11 multi-hit games
including a pair of games in which he collected three hits (Mar. 5
at Rice and Apr. 7 at UC Irvine) • Was named Big West Player
of the Week on Mar. 6 mostly due to his 3-for-4 performance at Rice
on Mar. 5 ( two home runs, a double, a career-high six RBI, and
three runs scored) • Hit the Titans' only grand slam in 2006,
blasting one off Joey Centanni, the first at Pacific's new Klein
Family Field on Apr. 22 • Posted six multi-RBI games •
Made just two errors in the outfield in 69 chances • Hit a
go-ahead, three-run home run off eventual national player of the
year Andrew Miller at Rosenblatt Stadium in the College World
Series in the Titans' eventual 7-5, 13-inning loss to North
Carolina.
TITANS `05: Appeared in 12 games as a pitcher
and 16 as a hitter in his first collegiate season • Threw 25.1
innings for the Titans, serving both as a mid-week starter (five
starts) and a relief pitcher • Experienced his longest outing
of the season on Apr. 19 at Pepperdine where he went four innings,
allowing six earned runs in the Titans' 6-2 loss to the Waves
• Earned his first collegiate win on May 17, tossing a
scoreless inning against San Diego • Went five straight
appearances from Feb. 27 to Apr. 12 without allowing an earned run
over nine innings of work • From the plate, hit .348
(8-for-23, mostly off the bench) • Had his best game at Cal
State Northridge on Apr. 9 where he went 2-for-2 with three RBI,
including a double and his first career home run • Also picked
up an RBI double against Missouri in the Fullerton Regional on June

junior while going 9-3 with 100 strikeouts • Also hit .451

and 33 RBI en route to setting the Foothill League record for
career home runs • Was an All-CIF selection in both his junior
