TITANS `09: Was an All-Big West
Conference Honorable Mention •Was one of two Titans (along
with Jared Clark) to play in all 63 of the Titans games, 61 of them
coming in a starting capacity at third base or in the outfield
• Made 36 starts at third base, nine in left field, four in
center and 12 in right • His 88 hits ranked him 4th in the Big
West •His 64 runs scored ranked him 3rd in the Big West •
Had the team's longest hitting streak at 17 games, batting .414
from Apr. 17 to May 15 when he went 29-for-70 with six doubles,
three triples and two home runs • Also hit .386 (22-for-57) in
a 12-game hitting streak earlier in the year from Mar. 3 to Mar. 23
• Had 26 multi-hit games including a pair of career-high,
four-hit games on Apr. 24 at UC Davis and May 6 against Arizona
•Had eight multi-RBI games including a pair of three-RBI
efforts on March 13 vs. Rhode Island and Apr. 24 at UC Davis, tying
his career high • Stole three of his 23 bases on successive
pitches on Apr. 9 at Cal State Northridge...after singling, he
stole second, third and home on the catcher's throw back to the
pitcher to tie the eventual 15-inning loss at 2-2 in the fourth
inning • His 23 stolen bases were good for third in the Big
West • Led the Big West, ranked 10th in the nation and tied
for the third-most triples in a CSF season with seven • Earned
Big West Player of the Week accolades on April 27 after going
8-for-17 (.470) with a pair of home runs, a double, a triple, five
RBI and 10 runs scored in a midweek game against Pepperdine and a
three-game series at UC Davis • Was 13-for-31 (.419) with
three doubles, a triple, nine RBI, seven runs scored and three
stolen bases in the Titans' seven postseason games • Was named
to the Fullerton Regional All-Tournament Team (RF) after going
7-for-15 (.467) with 3 doubles, four RBI and two stolen bases in
three games.
TITANS `08: Was a Freshman
All-American for both Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball and
was a Big West Conference Honorable Mention as a utility player
• Started 55 games for the Titans at both second base and left
field • Set the Cal State Fullerton rookie record for stolen
bases, swiping 25 bags in 28 attempts, breaking Dante Powell's
16-year old record of 19 in 1992 • Picked up his first career
hit in his first Div. I at bat at TCU on Feb. 22 • Drove home
his first RBI on Feb. 24 at TCU in his first career start, by going
2-for-5 with 2 RBI and a run scored • Hit his first home run
on Mar. 2 at Stanford, a solo shot • Had 17 multi-hit and 8
multi-RBI games • After seeing his average dip to .193 on
March 25, he caught fire to hit .336 (45-for-134) over the
remaining 42 games of the year • Collected three hits in a
game twice, once on Apr. 18 at Pacific, the other on May 11 versus
Cal Poly at home • Drove home a season-high 3 RBI on Mar. 2 at
Stanford, belting a two-run double and a solo home run • Stole
three bases against Virginia in the Fullerton Regional on June 1
• Stole two-or-more bases on five occasions • Had an
eight-game hitting streak from May 3 to May 16 where he went
12-for-24 (.500) with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI.
DIAMOND BAR HS: Was a three-year
varsity player for the Brahmas under Head Coach and former Titan
outfielder Rich Gonzalez • Hit .333 and earned second-team
All-Sierra League honors as a sophomore • Belted three home
runs and hit .480 as a junior, earning first-team all-league
recognition • Was highly decorated his senior year, hitting a
whopping .612 with 4 home runs • Was named the Sierra League's
Most Valuable Player, garnered All-CIF and All-Inland Valley
First-Team recognition, and was tabbed a second-team All-American
by Baseball America • Was named the MVP of the 2007 Loara
Tournament • Was the Diamond Bar High School Male
Scholar-Athlete of the Year • His No. 22 was retired by the
Brahma baseball program in 2007 • Was drafted by the Oakland
A's in the 12th round of the 2007 MLB first-year player draft
• Was also a two-time All-Sierra League soccer player •
Academically, was on the Principal's Honor Roll in each semester of
