Titans Drop Road Game at No. 17 Arizona State

PHOENIX – Cal State Fullerton baseball dropped game one on the road to No. 17 Arizona State Tuesday night by a final score of 9-1. Fullerton is now 23-12 on the season.

The Titans recorded five hits in the game and scored just one run in the top of the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Nate Nankil to score Eli Lopez

Arizona State jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the bottom half of the first inning. The Sun Devils went on to score two runs in the fifth, three in the sixth, one in the seventh and one in the eighth

Jason Blood got the start for the Titans and gave up two earned runs on five hits in three innings of work while walking two and striking out two batters. Blood is now 1-2 on the year. 

The Titans wrap up the two-game midweek series with Arizona State Wednesday afternoon at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. PT.
