FULLERTON, Calif. – With two outs and a runner on first in the bottom of the ninth inning, Jack Haley ripped an RBI double off the wall in center field to score Moises Guzman and give the Titans a 7-6 walk-off victory over Hawai'i Friday night at Goodwin Field.

The Titans improve to 13-8 on the year and 6-1 in Big West play to put them in second place in the conference. Fullerton extended its winning streak to six consecutive games with the win, the longest winning streak since 2018.

Fullerton overcame a four-run deficit to defeat Hawai'i in its Big West home opener Friday night as the team fell behind 5-1 in the fourth inning. The Titans have now overcome a four-run deficit twice this season.

The Titans rallied to score one run in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Maddox Latta, before scoring four runs in the sixth to take a 6-5 lead. Fullerton has scored four runs in an inning 13 times this season.

Moises Guzman led-off the sixth inning with a solo home run to left field. On his birthday, Guzman went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI on two doubles and a home run.

With two outs and the bases loaded the Titans struck again on a two-run single by Cade Connor to tie the game at 5-5.

Latta then singled through the right side of the infield to drive in Zach Lew and give Fullerton a 6-5 lead. Latta went 3-for-5 on the day with two RBI.

Hawai'i came back to tie the game in the seventh inning before Haley's walk-off double in the ninth secured the victory for Fullerton.

As they have all year, the Titans continued to drive in runs with two outs on the board. Fullerton scored three times for a total four runs Friday night. On the year, the Titans have scored 53 times for a total of 69 runs with two outs.

Jojo Ingrassia improved to 2-0 on the year after pitching 1.2 no-hit innings while striking out two batters. Tyler Stultz got the start for the Titans and gave up five runs (two earned) on five hits in five innings of work.

Fullerton looks to secure the series victory in game two against Hawai'i Saturday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 5:00 p.m. PT.
