FULLERTON, Calif. – With two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning and runners on the corners, Angelo Aleman hit a bloop single to left field to give the Titans a walk-off win over Texas Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Field.

With the 5-4 win the Titans secure the series victory over Texas in the first time the two teams have played a three-game series at Goodwin Field.

While the two programs have not matched up against each other much in recent history, the series win is the first over Texas since the 2004 National Championship.

Aleman was an unlikely hero for the Titans as he came in as a defensive substitution in the top of the 11th inning. However, the true freshman stepped up when the Titans needed it most, recording his first collegiate hit in walk-off fashion.

The Titans led 3-1 entering the ninth inning before a leadoff single and two-run home run by Texas' Jack O'Dowd tied the game at 3-3 and sent the game to extra innings.

Texas took the lead in the bottom of the 10th inning on a Peyton Powell RBI double to right field to put the Longhorns up 4-3.

With two outs and runners on first and second the Titans turned to Carter White who had reached base in all four pinch-hit at-bats this season. White once again came through for the Titans with an RBI single to center field to drive in Draven Nushida and tie the game at 4-4.

Fullerton found itself in a tough spot in the top of the 11th inning with two outs and the bases loaded. After falling behind to a 3-1 count, Seth Tomczak worked his way out of the jam with a strikeout to get the Titans to the top of the inning. Tomczak (1-0) earned the win for the Titans after pitching 1.1 shutout innings while allowing just one hit.

Brendan Bobo started the 11th inning getting hit by a pitch to put the winning run on base. After a sacrifice bunt by Jack Haley and a strikeout, the Titans were down to their final out. The Longhorns decided to intentionally walk Caden Connor to get Aleman who came up with the game-winning hit to bring home Bobo and give Fullerton the win.

The Titans look to carry their momentum into Tuesday's game as Utah comes to Goodwin Field for a midweek matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
