FULLERTON, Calif. – After pitching a complete game shutout in the Titans win over Long Beach State Sunday, Fynn Chester has been named Big West Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
In just his fifth start of the season, Chester threw an absolute gem for the Titans. Chester needed just 76 pitches in his complete game shutout while allowing just three hits. After giving up two hits in the first inning, Chester then retired 23 consecutive batters until giving up a one-out hit in the ninth inning.

Chester is 2-1 on the year with an impressive 2.47 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. In three starts since moving to the weekend rotation against UC San Diego, Chester has allowed just two runs in 17.2 innings pitched.
