LONG BEACH, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton baseball defeated Long Beach State, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at Blair Field behind Fynn Chester's complete game shutout.
Chester threw an absolute gem for the Titans, tossing a complete game shutout on just 76 pitches while allowing only three hits. After giving up two hits in the first inning, Chester retired 23 consecutive batters until giving up a base hit in the ninth inning.

Chester is the first Titan to throw a complete game shutout since Tanner Bibee did so against USC in March of last year.
For the second straight game the Titans jumped out to a lead in the top of the first inning as Zach Lew brought home Deylan Pigford and an RBI single to put the Titans up 1-0.

Fullerton extended its lead in the third inning on a two-run home run by Jason Brandow, his seventh of the season. Brandow had a huge game for the Titans after missing the last five games, going 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI.

With the win the Titans improve to 20-32 and 12-15 in Big West Conference play. Fullerton looks to finish the season on a high note next weekend as UC Irvine comes to Goodwin Field for the final series of the year.
