HONOLULU – Cal State Fullerton dropped game two of its series to Hawai'i by a final score of 5-4 Saturday night at Les Murakami Stadium. The Titans are now 17-23 and 10-7 in conference play.

A pitchers duel carried into the sixth inning as both teams were held scoreless until Hawai'i took the lead on a two-run home run by Stone Miyao.

The Titans rallied to score four runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 4-2 lead. Jason Brandow led-off the inning with a solo home run to right field to get the Titans on the board. It is Brandow's team-leading sixth home run of the season.

With two outs in the inning Jack Haley singled to get on base before an RBI double by Caden Connor brought him home to tie the game at 2-2. Connor went 2-for-4 on the night with a run and an RBI.

Carter White then came through with yet another clutch pinch-hit to score Connor and give the Titans the lead.

Following a single from Austin Schell to get White to third, Brendan Bobo singled up the middle to score White and put the Titans up 4-2. It appeared as though Schell scored on the play as well, however, it was ruled that he was thrown out at home plate and the play was not overturned after video review.

The Rainbow Warriors came back to score three runs in the bottom half of the eighth inning to take a 5-4 lead.

Evan Yates got the start for the Titans and was lights out through five innings, having a no-hitter going through 5.2 innings. Yates ended up allowing two runs on five hits while walking two and striking out two. Michael Weisberg (3-3) drew the loss for Fullerton.

Blaze Koali'i Pontes got the start for Hawai'i and went six innings, allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out six and walking two. Tai Atkins earned the win for the Rainbow Warriors to improve to 4-2.

The two teams will meet Sunday afternoon for the rubber game at Les Murakami Stadium. First pitch is set for 4:05 p.m. PT.
