FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton baseball dropped game three of its conference series to CSUN by a final score of 5-2 Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Field. The Titans fall to 15-22 and 9-6 in Big West play after dropping two out of three games to CSUN.
The Titans jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a two-run home run to right field by Jackson Lyon for his fifth of the season. Lyon went 3-for-4 on the day with one run and two RBI. He is now hitting .370 on the year with 24 runs and a team-high 23 RBI.

CSUN tied the game at 2-2 after scoring one run in the top of the second inning and one in the fourth. The Matadors took the lead in the top of the seventh on a three-run home run by Gabe Gonzalez.
Peyton Jones got the start for Fullerton and gave up two runs in 4.2 innings of work on five hits. Cameron Repetti drew the loss after giving up three runs in two innings of relief.
Lucas Braun started on the mound for CSUN, pitching 6.2 innings and allowing two runs on nine hits while striking out six to earn the win and improve to 4-3 on the year.
The Titans look to bounce back Tuesday against San Diego at Goodwin Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
