FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton baseball defeated UC Davis Thursday night, 9-3, in game one of the three-game series at Goodwin Field. The Titans improve to 11-20 and 6-4 in Big West play.

The Titans jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning as Austin Schell drew a walk with the bases loaded to drive in a run. One batter later, Cole Urman reached on a fielder's choice to score Zach Lew

UC Davis (3-18, 2-11) responded with three runs in the top of the second inning to take a 3-2 lead.

Fullerton would go on to score seven unanswered runs to secure the victory, scoring two runs in the second, fourth and sixth while adding one in the eighth.

Back-to-back doubles by Caden Connor and Lew in the bottom half of the second inning gave the Titans the lead back.
