San Diego answered in the bottom half of the inning to tie the game at 1-1 before scoring two runs in the bottom of the second to take a 3-1 lead. The Toreros would tack on one more run in the fourth to go up 4-1.

The Titans scored one run in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Cole Urman to score Jason Brandow and cut into the Toreros lead. One inning later the Titans plated two runs on a base hit by Brandow score J.T. Navyac and Jack Haley to tie the game at 4-4.

San Diego once again answered in its half of the inning, scoring six runs in the bottom of the seventh to go up 10-4.

Fullerton didn't give up there. Nate Nakil hit a three-run bomb in the top of the eighth inning to make it a 10-7 game. It was Nankil's first career home run.

After giving up one run in the bottom of the eighth the Titans rallied in the ninth, scoring three runs on singles by JJ Cruz and Nankil along with a bases loaded walk from Austin Schell with no outs to make it a one run game. The Titans were unable to score a run with the bases loaded and no outs, losing by one to San Diego.
