FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton lost game three of its nonconference series to Gonzaga, 3-2, in extra innings Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Field

The Titans went into the ninth inning trailing 2-1 but tied the game at 2-2 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth on a Brendan Bobo single up the middle to score Damone Hale from second base to send the game to extra innings.

The Bulldogs were able to regain the lead in the top of the 10th inning on a single by Tyler Rando to score Savier Pinales.

Gonzaga took an early lead, scoring on a double steal in the top of the second inning. The Bulldogs added to their lead in the third on a sacrifice to right field by Shea Kramer.

Christian Rodriguez had a great outing on the mound for the Titans, pitching seven innings while two runs (one earned) on six hits. Rodriguez didn't walk any batters in seven innings and struck out seven. 

Fullerton looked like it had a good thing going in the bottom of the fourth inning after back-to-back hits by Carter White and Zach Lew to have first and third with no outs. The Titans then hit into a double play to get on the board and cut into Gonzaga's lead but stalled the momentum. 

Michael Spellacy earned the win for Gonzaga (2-0) after pitching the final 1.1 innings. Gavin Meyer drew the loss (0-1) after pitching three innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run. 

The Titans are back in action Tuesday night at Goodwin Field as Kansas State comes to town for a midweek game. First pitch is set for 6:00 p.m.
