Titans Drop Home Opener to Gonzaga

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton baseball dropped its home opener to Gonzaga Friday night at Goodwin Field, 10-1. Fullerton is now 1-3 this season.

Cameron Repetti started on the mound for the Titans and went four innings, giving up six hits and four runs (three earned). Repetti is now 0-2 this season. Gabriel Hughes had a solid start for Gonzaga (4-2), going six innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run while striking out nine to earn the win (1-1).

Gonzaga jumped out to a 5-0 lead through five innings, scoring one run in the second, third and fifth while scoring two in the fourth inning. The Titans got on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI by Carter White

Trailing 12-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning the Titans score two runs to make it a 12-3 game on an RBI single by Jake Harvey and an error by Gonzaga. 

The Titans look to bounce back Saturday evening in game two of the series against Gonzaga. First pitch is slated for 6:00 p.m. PT.
