SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton(19-28, 12-16) dropped the final game of its series against Cal Poly (24-24, 14-18) by a final score of 9-1 Sunday afternoon at Baggett Stadium.
With the Titans trailing 3-1, Josh Urps got the Titans on the board in the top of the fifth inning on a solo home run to right center field for his third home run of the season.
Wyatt Johnson had a good outing on the mound in relief for the Titans. Johnson pitched 2.1 shutout innings, giving up just three hits while striking out two.
Fullerton is back in action next weekend against Big West rival Long Beach State for a four-game conference series beginning Friday at 5:00 p.m. PT.
