Baseball Loses to Hawai'i in Final Game of Series

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton (18-21, 11-9) dropped the final game of the series against Hawai'i (23-15, 15-13) by a final score of 8-2 Sunday afternoon at Goodwin Field.

The Titans scored in the bottom of the fourth inning on an RBI single by Cole Urman to drive in Deylan Pigford from second base. 

Fullerton added one more run in the ninth inning, once again on an RBI single from Urman, this time driving in Isaiah Garcia. Urman went 2-for-4 with two RBI while Garcia went 2-for-4 with a run.

Kyle Luckham started the game on the mound for the Titans and went 5.0 innings, giving up five runs on four hits while striking out five. Luckham is now 3-6 this season. 

Cameron Repetti entered the game in relief in the seventh inning and pitched two scoreless innings while giving up just two hits. Gavin Kennedy pitched the ninth inning and gave up just one hit. 

Logan Pouelsen pitched a complete game for Hawai'i to earn the win and move to 4-1 this season. Pouelsen gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out eight. 

The Titans are back on the diamond next weekend for a four-game series against UC San Diego beginning Friday night at Goodwin Field.
