Titans Lose Game Two of Series to San Diego

SAN DIEGO – The Titans dropped the second of the two-game series with San Diego by a final score of 8-2 Saturday night at Fowler Park

The Titans struck first in the top of the fourth inning. Zach Lew led-off with a walk followed by a sacrifice bunt by Jake Harvey to move him over to second. One batter later, Brendan Bobo hit a ball through the right side of the San Diego defense to drive home Lew and put the Titans on the board. 

San Diego responded in the bottom of the fourth inning with two runs to take the lead. The Toreros extended its lead in the sixth on a solo home run by Thomas Luevano. 

Kyle Luckham had a quality start for the Titans, going six innings while allowing three earned runs on five hits, striking out five batters and walking just one.

The Toreros opened up the game in the seventh inning, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 8-1 lead. Fullerton scored one run in the eighth on a productive out by Lew to score Isaiah Garcia and cut the deficit to 8-2.

Fullerton is back at Goodwin Field next weekend for another nonconference series as Cal Baptist comes to town beginning Friday night at 5:00 p.m. PT.
