FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton dropped its final contest against No. 6 UCLA Tuesday night by a final score of 6-2.

The Titans (4-7) fell behind 4-0 after the fourth inning before getting back into the game in the sixth inning. Isaiah Garcia led off the inning with a triple down the left field line and was later driven in by Austin Schell on a single up the middle.

One batter later Josh Urps brought home Jason Brandow from third on a sacrifice fly to center field to cut the Bruins lead to 4-2.

Fullerton went into the ninth inning trailing by just two runs, however, UCLA added two more in the top of the ninth to make it a 6-2 game.

Wyatt Johnson made his collegiate debut and started the game for the Titans, pitching just one inning and not allowing a single hit. Samuel Gomez picked up the loss for Fullerton, his first of the season (0-1.) Sean Mullen earned the win for UCLA to move to 3-0 this year.

Along with Johnson, James Wambold made his collegiate debut on the mound while Evan Adolphus made his season debut.

The Titans now hit the road for a three-game nonconference series with Arizona State beginning Friday evening at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
