FULLERTON, Calif. – After an impressive freshman campaign, Zach Lew has been ranked as the No. 16 third baseman in the nation by D1 Baseball heading into the 2020 season.
In 2019, Lew hit .313 at the plate, ranking fifth on the team, with a .448 on-base percentage and a .458 slugging percentage. In 34 games he recorded 16 RBI and three home runs.
The La Mirada, Calif. native had a coming out party against USC early in the season, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run, leading to three RBI and four runs. Lew also had a career day in the second to last game of the season against CSUN where he crushed two home runs, recording four RBI and three runs.
Fullerton opens up the regular season with a road series against No. 17 Stanford on Feb. 14 at Sunken Diamond with first pitch for Friday night's game scheduled for 6:05 p.m. PT.
The Titans first home game of the 2020 season is Friday, Feb. 21 as Tulane comes to Goodwin Field for a three-game series.
