FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton has been picked to reclaim its throne in the Big West Conference coaches poll, the conference announced Wednesday. The Titans received three first place votes for a total of 68 points.
Cal Poly and Long Beach State tied for second place with two first place votes each, totalling 61 points.

Titans fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about heading into the 2020 season with a revamped coaching staff in Sergio Brown, Dan Ricabal and Andy Jenkins. Fullerton also brings in a stacked group of 15 newcomers with 11 freshmen and four transfers. Fans got to see the first glimpse of the new Titans at the annual alumni game where freshman pitchers Gavin Kennedy, Peyton Jones and Evan Adolphus showed the future is bright on the mound.
While the Titans did miss out on the postseason in 2019, the team is primed for a strong comeback season in 2020 after missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1991. Following the Titans missing the postseason in 1991, the team was right back where they belong in 1992, playing for the national championship in Omaha.
Fullerton opens up the regular season with a road series against Stanford on Feb. 14 at Sunken Diamond with first pitch for Friday night's game scheduled for 6:05 p.m. PT.
