FULLERTON, Calif. – Mitchell Berryhill earned his first career Big West Baseball Field Player of the Week honor after reaching base 15 times in 17 plate appearances against Cal Poly as the Titans won two out of three games in San Luis Obispo

The outfielder hit an outstanding .833 (10-for-12) with four walks and a hit by pitch to help the Titans to the series victory over the Mustangs.

Berryhill had at least three hits in each game, contributing to 16 run offensive explosions in games one and three.

The senior finished 4-for-6 with three runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 16-2 series-opening win. In Saturday's 5-3 loss, Berryhill tripled as part of a 3-for-3 effort, walked and drove in a run.

In Sunday's rubber game, Berryhill recorded his second straight 3-for-3 performance while scoring twice and adding two RBI. He also drew three walks to reach safely in all six plate appearances.

Berryhill reached safely in his final 12 plate appearances of the series. The Utah native his hitting .439 on the season which leads the Big West Conference. He has also reached base in every game this season and is on a 37-game on-base streak dating back to last season.
