Baseball Falls to Pepperdine at Home

FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton (11-11) fell to Pepperdine (13-8) Tuesday night at Goodwin Field by a final score of 11-4.

Mitchell Berryhill extended his on-base streak to 31 consecutive games dating back to the 2018 season while also extending his hit streak to 15 straight games. Berryhill went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run. Berryhill is second on the team with a .395 batting average which ranks fourth in the Big West Conference.

Isaiah Garcia continued to stay hot at the plate as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Garcia is hitting a team-high .400 on the season which ranks third in the Big West and first on the Titans.

Raul Salazar of Pepperdine picked up his first win of the season (1-1) after pitching six innings, giving up five hits and two runs. Timothy Josten unfortunately recorded the loss, pitching three innings while allowing four hits and two runs (one earned).

The Titans look to bounce back this weekend as they host UC Santa Barbara in the first Big West Conference series of the season against the conference-leading Gauchos.
