LONG BEACH, Calif. – Tommy Wilson and Tanner Bibee combined to toss eight innings of no run baseball while allowing just four total hits in the ballgame, but Long Beach State found a way to pull off a 1-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton, Friday night at Blair Field.

Starter Wilson went 3.0 innings, gave up just two hits and struck out two without allowing run in an abbreviated start. He was on a 60-pitch pitch count. Bibee (L-2-5) received about as tough as a tough luck loss as you can. He was spectacular in 5.0 innings of relief, surrendering just two hits, no earned runs, while fanning two.

Fullerton (31-23, 17-6 Big West) actually outhit LBSU (27-29, 12-11 Big West) six to four.

Hank LoForte once again extended his hit streak, as he lead off the game with a knock to left field. He's not reached base in 38 straight games and has collected a hit in 15 consecutive and 26 of the last 27 contests.

Mitchell Berryhill, Daniel Cope and Zach Weisz collected hits, while Jacob Pavletich was the lone Titan to turn in a multi hit performance. He went to 2-of-3 from the plate.

LBSU's Clayton Andrews was fantastic on the mount, as he went the distance to recorded the complete-game shutout, while fanning 11.

The 49ers struck first, as Brooks Stotler led the frame off with a lead off walk. Tristan Mercadel then singled to right field to put runners at the corners. Marcadel stole second and then advanced to second on a throwing error, while allowing Stotler to score from third base to put Long Beach State in front 1-0.
