AS A JUNIOR (2015)
Made 58 starts behind the plate batting mainly eighth in the order…hit .171 on the season with 19 RBIs, 14 runs scored, nine doubles and 19 walks…posted a .989 fielding percentage…caught 19 would-be base stealers…five multiple-hit games…walked three times and none proved more critical than his last free pass of the game. With the Titans and Long Beach State deadlocked at 1-1 in the 10th inning, Kennedy stepped in with one out and the bases loaded. He fell behind 0-2 in the count but stayed patient and took three straight borderline pitches that were called balls, including ball four with a bunt play on and Dalton Blaser breaking for home (03/21)…set a new career-high with three doubles as he went 4-for-4 at the dish and provided all the cushion the Titans would need with a two-run double in the sixth inning to turn a 1-0 lead into a 3-0 advantage as Fullerton went on to a 4-0 victory over then No. 5 Texas Tech (03/06)…batted 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored in a 19-0 victory at UC Riverside (05/02).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014)
Played in 36 games and made 20 starts as the Titans backup catcher... Batted .178 with 13 hits and two doubles with eight runs scored... Had a .990 fielding percentage with two errors in 193 chances... Threw out seven of 10 would-be base stealers... Scored the game-tying run in a 5-4 win over No. 9 Oregon on Mar. 2 and then threw out Aaron Payne trying to steal second base to end the game... Scored a career-high three runs in a 17-4 victory over Hawaii on Apr. 26 and also recorded his first career stolen base.
SUMMER (2013)
Played in 13 games for the Battle Creek Bombers of the Northwoods League.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
One of four catchers on the roster…appeared in 13 games and made four starts…made good use of his limited time, batting .429 (6-for-14) with four runs scored and two doubles while driving in four runs…batted 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBIs in a series-sweeping 25-0 victory over Pacific (03/30).
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2012 graduate of Savanna High School in Anaheim, Calif. • Was a four-year letterwinner on the varsity squad for head coach Rick Parmenter • The Rebels finished 2012 with a 24-6 record and won the Orange League with a mark of 13-2 • Was a three-time all-Orange League first team pick at catcher, including earning league MVP honors following his sophomore season in 2010.
