CORONADO HS: A 2012 graduate of Coronado HS in Coronado, Calif • Played three years of baseball for head coach Sam Ceci • Missed part of the 2012 season with an injury, but batted .365 with eight RBIs, and was 1-3 with a .67 ERA and 17 strikeouts before missing the remainder of the season • Was a two-time all-Western League second team pick (2010 & 2011) • In 2011 was 7-9 on the mound with a 2.01 ERA, 65 strikeouts, while batting .290 with 28 RBIs • In 2010 batted .288 with 15 RBIs, and finished the year 9-9 on the mound with a 1.80 ERA en route to second team all-league honors • Also played two years of basketball and one season of golf.
