Stillwater, OK - Gail Munoz led a strong pack of three Cal State Fullerton runners and the Titan women finished fourth among 14 teams Saturday at the Cowboy Jamboree Cross Country Invitational hosted by Oklahoma State.

The men fell victim to the heat and humidity of Stillwater and finished 12th among the 18 teams.

"We had a strong performance from our top three women runners," said Head Coach John Elders, who was battling the flu on the trip, a condition which kept Lexie Bravo home. "We lost Lexie to the flu but got the return of Grace Gonzalez. She was not race ready but it was good for her to get back. Andrea Divok also returned and competed well."

Munoz placed 18th overall with a time of 22:33.75. Lauren McIntyre ran 25th in 22:48.62 and Yomaira Hernandez was 26th in 23:00.64. Gonzalez was 42nd in 23:57.32 and Divok was 48th in 24:21.07.

"The guys did not perform as well as they did last week in Riverside," said Elders. "They didn't handle the midwest humidity well, but it was good to get it out of the way.

"We also were hurt when Ren Jones rolled an ankle about halfway through the race."

Tyler Reed led the Titans with a 28th place showing in a time of 25:55.08. Following him were John Carrell (34th, 26:08.59), Jason Perez (44th, 26:33.21), Anthony Castellon (75th, 27:25.45) and Andrew Rezner (97th, 28:04.24).

Oklahoma State won both team titles.
