FULLERTON, Calif. — The Cal State Fullerton cross country teams ran to a strong showing at the John Elders Titan Invite Friday evening, highlighted by a fourth place finish by the women's squad. 

The women's team tallied 101 points in the 5K contest, fueled by a personal-best time of 18:00.9 and 11th place finish by Jicel Fernandez Ramirez. Maria Hernandez followed with an 18:11.5 to finish 16th, while Quinn Roldan posted a personal-best time of 18:19.8 to place 20th. 

Sally Silengo also ran a personal-best 18:32.1 and finished 24th, while Emily Olson ran an 18:44.7 and placed 30th. Bella Smith (18:46.5, 32nd) and Sarah Jamil (18:47.0, 34th) rounded out the Titans' scoring runners.

In the men's 8K race, Justin Singer led the way for the Titans with a personal-best time of 25:03.9 to place 18th. Mason Ma finished 58th with a time of 26:14.6, while John Welch raced a 26:41.6 to finish 84th. 

Next up, the Titans run in the Big West Championships on Saturday, October 29th, at the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations Course. The meet will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT.
