Final Results: Men 8k Women 6k
RIVERSIDE CALIF. -- The Cal State Fullerton Men's and Women's Cross-Country Teams had a great showing at the UCR Highlander Invitational on Saturday morning. Trinity Ruelas led the way on the women's side finishing first collegiately and second overall with a time of 20:04.7. While Sammy Ayala finished first for the Titans and fourth overall for the men in a time of 24:04.3.

The Cal State Fullerton women won with 35 points (1-5-7-8-14), UC Irvine with 88 and New Mexico St. 112.
The Cal State Fullerton men finished second overall with 78 points (3-4-9-24-38), just behind CBU who won by 3 points with Grand Canyon rounding out the top three with a tally of 113.
Sammy Ayala finished fourth with an 8k time of 24:04 and Alexis Garcia was close behind finishing fifth with a time of 24:10. Other scorers for Fullerton included Jacob Smith who clocked in at 24:22 in 12th place, Talman Young finishing 27th with a time of 24:41 and Jeremiah Castellano who crossed the line in 44th at 24:56 after setting a new personal best by over a minute.
On the Women's side, Ruelas came out on top as she was the first collegian to cross the line with a time of 20:04 in the 6k. McKaylie Caesar and Mia Bergman finished sixth and eighth overall with times of 20:51 and 20:56. While Dana McGrath and Eva Rethmeier rounded out the Titans top five by finishing 9th and 18th with times of 20:58 and 21:14.

The Titans are back in action next week as they host the Titan Invite on Friday, October 22nd at 5PM PST in their last tune up before the Big West Championships hosted by UC Davis.
