CROSS COUNTRY JUNIOR (2015)
Competed in all six events as one of Cal State Fullerton’s strongest participants during the fall…finished first for the Titans (24th overall) at the Big West Championship on the 6k course in Riverside, Calif., in a time of 21:44.85 (10/31)…totaled two additional top-three Titan finishes: 26th overall at the season-opening Mark Covert Classic in a time of 19:22.20 on the 5k course in Brea, Calif. (09/05)…and 21st overall at the Highlander Invitational in a time of 18:32.01 on the 5k course in Riverside (10/17)…totaled four top-40 overall finishes…at the NCAA West Regional, placed 177th overall (4th Titan) in a time of 23:19.2 on the 6k course in Seattle (11/13).
CROSS COUNTRY SOPHOMORE (2014): Competed in six events, placing in the overall top-50 on three occasions…ran a season-best 5K time of 19:08.5 at the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 18, finishing 47th overall and ninth among CSF participants...competed at the Big West Championships in Riverside, Calif., on Nov. 1 covering the course in a season-best 6K mark of 23:00.6 to finish 48th overall and sixth among Fullerton participants…concluded the season at the NCAA West Regionals in fourth place among the CSF runners and 180th overall, logging a time of 23:17.1 at the 6K event in Stanford, Calif., on Nov. 14.
OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD FRESHMAN (2014): Competed in the 5000-meter and 3000-meter steeplechase for the Titans during the 2014 outdoor track and field seaon... in the 5000-meter run she posted a personal best time of of 19:18.15 to place 16th at the Steve Scott Invitational on May 4... she ran the 3000-meter steeplechase three times recording her best time of 11:56.70 to finish fifth at the Big West Challenge on April 11... also finished first in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:57.35 at the UC Irvine Spring Break on March 22.
CROSS COUNTRY FRESHMAN (2013): Competed in five events during the season…ran a season-best 19:56.1 over the 5K course at the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 19, finishing 70th overall…posted her best finish at the Mustang Challenge in Santa Clarita, Calif., on Sept. 21, covering the 5K course in 20:30.29 to finish 47th overall, and eighth among Fullerton participants…concluded the season at the Titan Invitational on Oct. 25, finishing in 73rd place with a mark of 20:26.2 on the 5K course.
SOUTH EAST HIGH SCHOOL
Ran four seasons of track and three seasons of cross country for the Jaguars... also played two seasons of varsity soccer (2012, 2013)...awarded the Eastern League MVP and named to the LA City Section First Team during her senior season... two-time LA City Section Second Team honoree...first cross country girl to make CIF State Championships at South East high school... set personal best times in the 800m (2:35), 1600m (5:32), 3200m (11:41).
PERSONAL
Born in Lynwood, Calif... parents are Armando and Leslie... has one sister, Samantha... majoring in criminal justice and would like to be a medical examiner after graduation... chose Fullerton because it is close to home... lists running, listening to music, and hanging out with friends among some of her hobbies... favorites include: the beach (place to run), USA, Mexico (athletic teams), Allyson Felix (athlete), Jack White, Bob Marley, The White Stripes, Rebelution (musical artist), "Born to Run" (book), pasta and sushi (foods).
