2013 Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week (week of Sept. 24-Oct. 1)
CROSS COUNTRY SENIOR (2014): Competed in five events during the season…placed in the overall top-30 in a pair of events…ran a season-best 18:47.8 over the 5K course at the Highlander Invitational in Riverside, Calif., on Oct. 18 finishing 36th overall…posted her best finish at the Mustang Challenge on Sept. 20 covering the 5K course in 19:01.4 to finish 21st overall…also competed at Fullerton’s Mark Covert Classic on Aug. 30, finishing 28th overall with a mark of 19:34.3 on the 5K course...named on the Big West Conference All-Academic Team for the third time.
OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD JUNIOR (2014): Competed in three events for the Titans during the 2014 outdoor track and field season... ran the 3000m on March 29 at the UC Riverside Invitational as she placed eigth with a time of 10:20.83... also competed in the 5000m twice with her season-best time of 17:22.70 (13th place) coming at the Ben Brown Invite on March 15.
INDOOR TRACK & FIELD JUNIOR (2014): Competed in two events during the women's indoor track and field season...held the top time on the team in the 3000-meter run when she posted a time of 10:22.65 at the Husker Invitational to finish in 14th... at the MPSF Championships on Feb. 28, she ran the 5000-meters in 18:15.33 to finish 19th.
CROSS COUNTRY JUNIOR (2013): Competed in five events during the season…placed in the overall top-10 in three events…ran a season-best 17:33.8 over the 5K course at the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 19, finishing fourth overall…posted her best finish at the CSUSB Invite on Sept. 28, covering the 6K course in 22:30.9 to finish first overall…also competed at Fullerton’s Mark Covert Classic on Aug. 31, finishing in 47th-place with a mark of 26:06.6 on the 5K course...named on the Big West Conference All-Academic Team.
OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD SOPHOMORE (2013)
Competed in 12 events, three indoor events, for the Titans during the 2013 season...posted a Titan best this season in the 3000-meter when she finished with a time of 10:11.23, while also finishing fourth, at the Run for the Dream Event in Fresno, Calif., on February 17...at the Pomona Preview, in the 1500-meter event Bathgate placed third with a time of 4:51.15...had the best Titan time in the 5000-meter this season when she placed 12th with a time of 17:24.38 at the Ben Brown Invitational on March 8-9 in Fullerton, Calif...finished fourth at the Big West Championships in the 3000-meter steeplechase after posting a time of 11:02.14...she also finished first in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Steve Scott Invite in Cerritos, Calif., after finishing with a time of 11:17.26.
CROSS COUNTRY SOPHOMORE (2012)
Competed in all but one cross country meet for the Titans...posted a season-best time of 17:49.3 to finish 29th overall (21 points)...helped the Titans finish third at the Mark Covert Classic on Sept. 1 with a time of 19:11.6 finishing 16th overall...finished 21st overall at the Big West Conference Championships on Oct. 27 with a time of 21:13.3 over the 6k course.

CROSS COUNTRY FRESHMAN (2011)
Ran in the final five cross country meets of the season... posted her best 5K time of 19:52.4 as an individual at the Titan Invitational on Oct. 21, finishing 75th overall... posted her best 6K time of 23:51.5 to finish 67th at the Big West Conference Championships on Oct. 29.
HIGH SCHOOL
A graduate of Bloomington High School in Bloomington, Calif...ran three seasons of cross country (2006-07, 2009), played three seasons of soccer (2006-09), and competed on the track team for one year (2010).
PERSONAL
Born in Bloomington, Calif... parents are Jim and Kim... has two older brothers, James and Matthew... majoring in kinesiology... lists being active, hiking, and playing sports as her hobbies... would like to have a career performing biomechanical analysis on athletes for the use of injury prevention and athletic improvement...favorites include: Ashland, Ore., Yosemite National Park (places to run), Chicago Bears (athletic team), Chipotle, Flame Broiler (food), Mean Girls, Taken, Step Brothers (movies), Will Ferrell, Channing Tatum (actors), Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Drake, John Mayer and Jason Mraz (musical artists).
