FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton men's and women's cross country teams finished fifth and ninth, respectively, at the Titan Invitational held at the Titan Track Complex on Friday evening.

The race was the final for CSF before Fullerton travels to San Luis Obispo on Saturday, Nov. 2, to compete in the Big West Championships.

In the women's 5K, Michelle Botello finished 58^th (44^th collegiate) with a time of 19:42.0 to lead Cal State Fullerton. She was followed by Jessica Feuerstine who finished in a time of 19:51.8 for 63^rd overall and 49^th amongst collegiate runners. Tristanie Bjazevich was right behind finishing 64^th overall in a time of 19:53.3 – a season best for the sophomore.

Tejera Dial was the fourth Titan to cross the finish line in a time of 20:04.3, finishing 67^th overall (52^nd collegiate). Pamela Pelayo finished 73^rd overall (58^th collegiate) in a time of 20:26.2, and Kaylie McGrady was the last Titan to cross the finish line at 22:51.5 (88^th overall, 66^th collegiate).

Brian Aleman was the first Titan to cross the finish line for the men's team, completed the 8K course in a time of 25:37.1 as he finished 25^th overall and 15^th amongst collegiate competitors to record his fastest time this year. He was followed by Christian Eagon's personal best time, as the rookie completed the race in 38^th place (21 collegiate) in a time of 26:04.3.

Freshman Joe Casco completed the race in 40^th place (23^rd collegiate) in a time of 26:06.6 to also record a PR, followed by Daniel Ramos, who completed the course in a season-best time of 26:14.5, finishing in 47^th (26^th collegiate).

Dalton Hall finished 65^th overall and 3th against collegiate runners with an 8K time of 26:46.5, while Tim Reed was the final Titan to cross the finish line in a time of 27:16.4.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, Cal State Fullerton will conclude the regular season by traveling to San Luis Obispo for the 2013 Big West Championships.
