Ciara Short broke a pair of her own school records and Carolyn Ellis and
Jameena Hunt each improved their CSUF standards in the 2010 Mt. Sac Relays.
On Saturday, Short ran 23.77 to finish second in the Olympic development university open 200 and less than an hour later finished fifth in the invitational university open 400 in 53.16. Her old marks were 23.85 in the 200 in 2009 and 53.22 earlier this season in the 400.
On Friday, Ellis won her section of the university open-A 5000 meters in a time of 16:33.72, about 6 seconds better than her 2008 record of 16:39.28. Hunt placed second in her section of the open university hammer throw with a mark of 185-1, besting her mark of 180-5 set earlier this season.
Highlighting the men's efforts was Bryan Luther, who matched his seasonal best to finish third in Section 2 of the 100 in 10.65.
