Fullerton, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton hosts its second and final home track and field meet of the 2009 season Friday afternoon when the 17th Annual Big West Challenge Cup comes to the Titan Track Complex.
Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine will compete with host Fullerton in was has become a precursor to the Big West Conference Championships scheduled this year for May at UC Irvine.
Last year, Long Beach State easily swept both the men's and women's team titles. The men's hammer throw begins at 2 p.m., other field events start at 4 p.m. and the first race is the men's steeplechase at 5:15 p.m.
