Short Runs Second-Best CSF 400 Meters

Gainesville, Florida - Ciara Short ran the second fastest women's 400 meters in Cal State Fullerton history to highlight the Titans' efforts Friday at the Florida Track and Field Relays in Gainesville.

Short finished ninth in a time of 53.62, second only to her school-record mark of 53.54 set last week. It was the highest finish by any of the Titans on the day.

Laron Brown placed 13th in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.81 meters (about 22 feet, 4 inches).

Garrett Myers placed 19th in the men's 400 at 47.70 and Lauren Williams ran 19th in the women's 100 hurdles at 14.06.

Finishing 21st in their respective events were Kelly MacLean in the women's pole vault at 3.70 meters (about 12 feet, 0 3/4 inches) and Jasmine Loutisis with a time of 2:13.80 in the women's 800.

The meet concludes on Saturday.
