Claremont, Calif. - Ashley Sims won the women's 100 meters and placed second in the 200 Sunday to pace the efforts of Cal State Fullerton at the 2012 Cal-Nevada Track and Field Championships at Claremont College.

Sims was clocked in a personal best 11.94 in the 100 and ran 24.58 in the 200, trailing only Kashae Knox of Nevada, who was clocked in 24.44.

In the men's 100, Bryan Luther ran second in 10.85.

The Titans had two place winners in the women's 400 in Katie Wilson, third in 54.95, and Morgan Thompson, sixth in 56.06.

Three relay teams placed. The men's 4x100 unit of DeAndrae Woods, Javon May, Charles Michinock and Luther ran third in 41.81 and the 4x400 group of Javon May, Michinock, Taylor Ros and Brandon Cook were 12th in 3:20.15; and the women's 4x400 team of Thompson, Wilson, Elizabeth Claustro and Deena Pierce ran sixth in 3:48.88.

Other place winners were Walter Whitaker, sixth in the men's triple jump at 47 feet, 10 inches and Brandon Cook, sevent in the men's 800 in 1:54.90.
